Summer Camp So Far
Well, we think it’s fair to say summer is in full swing! And what makes summer complete? Summer camps of course! This past month has brought scorching sunny days and days of torrential downpour. However, we cannot forget that it has also brought children closer to the great outdoors and the art of photography!
So far this summer our Focus on Nature camps have taken place in Guelph and Waterloo, and camp commenced in Hamilton just yesterday! Our camp locations are full of nature with space for campers and counsellors to get to know one another, take tons of photos, play nature games, and try out some new arts and crafts.
Prior to this summer, our team worked diligently to “revamp” our summer camps to better the experience for all involved. Thus far, we feel that this reimagination of our summer camp programs has been a success based on the feedback from our campers, parents and staff. We must mention that the photographs and quality of editing our campers have brought forth is a clear indication that the “revamp” was beneficial. We look forward to sharing these photographs and testimonials with the Focus on Nature community in the near future!
Lots of laughs, memories, fantastic photos and new knowledge has occurred during the past few weeks at Focus on Nature summer camp. Our campers and staff have been able to build relationships in a nature setting which is such a wonderful aspect of camps! Each day, our campers are able to learn and interact with nature with a camera in hand, with the support and encouragement of a counsellor nearby!
As the summer progresses, we continue to have camps in Guelph and Waterloo as well as two weeks in Cambridge and one in Oakville. We are very excited and look forward to connecting these young campers with how beautiful nature can be, as well as how photography can emphasize that beauty. Be sure to be on the lookout for summer camp content on our website and social media platforms! Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
In the meantime, have fun in the sun, do not forget your sunscreen and take plenty of nature pictures!
