Welcome to the Guelph-Wellington Booking Calendar!

Be sure to check out the Guelph-Wellington Gallery

Hi! My name's Taryn and I am very passionate about having a close relationship with nature. I believe it is important for everyone to be immersed in nature and outdoor activities. I love capturing beautiful moments in nature on my own camera, and look forward to fostering this love of nature photography in kids as well. I enjoy paddle boarding, hikes, swimming, canoeing, and anything outside! It's even better that I get to do all these activities with my two dogs! I believe nature has the power to transform lives, and create valuable experiences and lasting memories.

Want to learn how our workshop ties in with the curriculum? Check out our new Teacher Resources Page to learn more about the details of our workshops.

Focus on Nature now offers 4 different types of workshops depending on what you want for your classroom. Elements of Design, recommended for grades 3-8. The Principles of Design, are recommended for your second workshop with us or grades 7-11. Our advanced Macro Photography workshop is recommended for those who have taken the first two workshops or grades 8-11. The Indigenous Elements of Design, for classes wanting to learn more about Indigenous photographers for grades 3-8.

When booking your workshop we will automatically run the basic Elements of Design program with your students unless you request one of the other 3 workshops in your booking.

If your desired workshop date is unavailable you are welcome to book your workshop on the Waterloo Booking Calendar.

What Guelph-Wellington Teachers Had to Say 2023:

“Strengths: Well organized and good timing. Back-up plans for inclement weather. Heather was very calm and patient with the students and the technology. A great compliment to our Arts program. Loved the connection and respect for our environment.” -Kay

“Engaging, taps into student's artistic strengths that they might not even know they have within them. FON offers them insight into careers they might want to explore during their educational journey. Exposure to technology and how to edit is such a great learning tool for our students. We can't say enough about this amazing Program!!” - Julie

“Students had a great time (even in the cold weather) learning how to use cameras and edit photos. When they had the opportunity to see their photos on the big screen and edit them, I could see many of them suddenly realize that this is something they were able to do. Many of them were asking afterward about the cameras you used so that they could ask for one for Christmas. It was a fantastic program - thank you again for everything!” - Sydney
