Scrambling to Get Your Kid Into a Fun Summer Camp?

Studies say letting them stay home on electronic screens has an increase in obesity, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.

The Solution: Guelph’s Best Nature and Photography Summer Camp!

Hello!

Focus on Nature is a registered charity operating in Southern Ontario that inspires young people to explore and connect with nature through photography. We conduct workshops in schools and day camps in the summer and during March Break. We envision a world where our connections to nature create a healthy, flourishing planet. We see a critical role for the arts in fostering these connections.

We are pleased to offer five weeks of Summer Camp at the Guelph Arboretum again this year. Register your campers now while we still have spaces in our popular camp program.

Our camps are a wonderful opportunity for budding photographers to develop their skills while exploring all the natural beauty the Guelph Arboretum has to offer!

Weeks Available:

July 21 - 25, 2025 - 3 spots remain
July 28 - August 1, 2025 - 17 spots remain
August 11 - 15, 2025 - 7 spots remain
August 18 - 22, 2025 - 18 spots remain
August 25 - 29, 2025 - 20 spots remain

Camp hours: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Early dropoff and late pickup: 8 am-5 pm ($5 per half hour, per day)

Camp fee: $300/week - $425/week
Camper age: 8 to 12 (at the time of camp)

Campers will spend time outdoors each day on guided photo walks, playing outdoor games, and other nature activities with an Arboretum Naturalist. Campers will also learn how to edit their images, create a slideshow, and take it all home when camp is over.

Each camper will be provided with their own camera and a laptop for photo editing. They may bring their own camera if they are familiar with its use. They should also bring a cleared USB memory stick to save and take home their best photos.

For health and safety, all equipment will be sanitized before use. Our camp staff have completed a Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector. Camps are limited to 25 campers per day.

A confirmation email will be sent after registration (check your spam folder if you don’t receive it!) Further details will also be sent by email one week before camp starts.

We look forward to helping your child find new connections to nature through photography!

Thank you,
The Focus on Nature Team

PS: Please let others, who might enjoy our camp, know about this opportunity.
